Shrewsbury Lawn Tennis Club

Shrewsbury Lawn is a friendly and welcoming Tennis Club, set on the edge of the Quarry Park alongside the River Severn. With over 400 members, SLTC boasts six manicured grass courts and five recently resurfaced, floodlit hard courts. Our clubhouse, equipped with shower and changing facilities, as well as a bar and kitchen, makes a very pleasant hub for social events and club meetings.  We even have our own range of top notch tennis clothing developed with Castore/Andy Murray, available to buy online.

We are a diverse club with a wide variety of members. All age groups and levels of ability are welcome to join. We offer social tennis, competitive league matches, and lessons from our professional club coaches.

The club is affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association and managed by a group of volunteers under the leadership of Club Chair, Steve Pearce.

Last year we were very proud to win the  Shropshire LTA - Club of the Year 2023 award, presented to us by Tennis Shropshire.

Our Club's first team, competing in Tennis Shropshire's 2023 Autumn Mixed Doubles League, won the first division title, with the club's second team victorious in division three.

With the summer season already underway, we are looking forward to even more success in 2024.
